| So that was Day 6. I'm here in Denver at some internet coffee shop place, and forgot my power cord, so y'all will have to wait for Day 7. Sorry. But it too was awesome, so it will be worth the wait. | |

Making "Day 5"
(so serious)
DAY 6 - JANUARY 20TH, 2006
Louisville, KY / Georgetown, IN to St. Louis, MO
270 Miles (approx.) ----- Click here for a map of the route taken
(again, I took more backroads, but couldn't get the thing to
show that)
Ok, so, Missouri is supposedly the “show-me” state. What the heck are they talking about? Am I to show them something or are they about to show me something? Where do I go to submit the item I am to show or to view the item I am being shown? I saw an arch. Does that count? What the heck do I have to compete with that? I can show them my skis or my fly rod. Is that sufficient? Well, they let me through unscathed, but my curiosity remains unanswered.
Anyhow, Day 6 was super-fantastic. I researched music venues in St. Louis online and I hit up this place called the “Way Out Club.” I was lucky enough to be there on a night when the newly formed local girls’ roller derby team was having a benefit show. I didn’t even know what roller derby was, and I’m still not sure I do, but they had some rockin’ bands play that night. Apparently this was the 3rd time the Way Out Club sold out, so I guess I picked a good place to go. It was a blast. Everyone was so punk rawk and all the derby girls kept going up on stage to make announcements and there was yelling and a raffle and a bought a t-shirt. Awesome. Anyhow, here are some pics of that night.
