Ok, so, I feel like I finally got going today.  Did almost 500 miles and saw a lot in the process.  I checked out Gettysburg by car on a pretty sweet self-guided auto tour.  It was rainy, which was actually kind of an interesting way to see the battlefields.  That’s how I always picture battlefields.  Muddy, etc.  You know.  The battles at Gettysburg, though, were during the first few days of July, so if it was rainy (I’m not sure), then at least it was muggy, too.  Anyhow, here are some pics of the place:

After Gettysburg, I headed down to Skyline Drive, which runs along the ridgeline of the Shenandoah mountains in Virginia.  I think I saw maybe 4 cars in the entire 100 mile length that I drove.  Apparently not the season for National Park touring.  Here are some pics!  Yes!

And, finally, here's a photo from some random farm on some random road in some random state (Virginia)

So, yea, that’s it for today.  I found a motel room kinda late tonight so, again, I’m up late doing this, and I’m too tired to provide any sort of wit or insight on life or some crap like that.  Tough luck.
