When I had the idea to document my trip out west on the internet, I thought that the events from my travels would translate efficiently from the interesting, exciting reality that (I assure you) they are into edge-of-your-seat prose. Regretfully, I don't think this will be the case. That's tragic for you guys, but simply a mild disappointment for me.  Why, you ask?  Because I intend to press on, to persevere; and I will still gain something from keeping a travel journal of some kind, but you guys will still be stuck reading my boring, uncreative writing.  I want to apologize ahead of time.

That being said, for the sake of expediency (I’ve got a lunch date at a hospital), the first two days’ entries will be in bulleted format.  So, it seems you all have somewhat of a reprieve, for now, from my unhindered rambling.

* My windshield wipers sucked, so I bought new ones.

* I was wary about leaving my car, and along with it all my worldly belongings, on the side of the road in New York City, so I parked it in a garage for 30 bucks a night. After the fact, I am now wary about parking my car in a garage in New York City.

* Lazar and I hung out for a while, went to the Morningstar Café across the street from his apartment, then headed downtown to a pretty hip independent movie theater.  Interesting place, but watching a movie with subway cars going by a few feet underneath is not ideal.

* I fell asleep on an aero bed watching Ultimate Fighting Something-or-other in HD.  Classic.
