accounting tasks for student token-money system, aided in overall operation of
the school program, and supported head teacher with various managerial and

Huntley Engineering Associates (temp)
Field Technician Fall
2003
Took measurements of structural features of a three-level parking
garage at the Holyoke Mall. Organized
recorded data and compiled it into comprehensible reports using Microsoft
Excel. For the final few weeks of the
project I was wholly responsible for all aspects including ordering aerial
lifts, organizing fieldwork with mall administrators, and creating reports for
presentation. (This position was
temp-work through United Personnel Services,
Gilbert’s Coffee House Easton,
PA
Set
up for night activities (stereo, lighting, etc.), was available for question
from patrons, kept Gilbert’s safe by notifying public safety of any trouble,
closed down the building at the end of the night. As Head Manager: completed payroll, trained
new employees, carried out hiring and termination.
Mega-cities Project
Researcher (intern) Summer 2002
Compiled a master bibliography
of recent publications pertaining to mega-cities. Worked with UN demographic
data to create profiles of select mega-cities.
Our Growing Concern Landscaping
Headed a crew of two to five laborers for the latter three summers. Performed purchases of
materials and other routine tasks and projects. Utilized interpersonal
skills in dealing with customers ranging from homeowners to international
corporations.
