Instructional Aide; Assistant Teacher                     December 2003-June 2005

Taught full schedule of high school courses to “at-risk” special education students.  Designed semester and weekly lesson plans for each class and carried out plans, adjusting schedules when necessary.  Employed behaviorist methods with students, including incentive programs, to foster a productive learning environment that also promotes positive social skills.  In Assistant Teacher role, performed accounting tasks for student token-money system, aided in overall operation of the school program, and supported head teacher with various managerial and disciplinary tasks.

Field Technician                                                         Fall 2003

Took measurements of structural features of a three-level parking garage at the Holyoke Mall.  Organized recorded data and compiled it into comprehensible reports using Microsoft Excel.  For the final few weeks of the project I was wholly responsible for all aspects including ordering aerial lifts, organizing fieldwork with mall administrators, and creating reports for presentation.  (This position was temp-work through United Personnel Services, Easthampton, MA.)

Set up for night activities (stereo, lighting, etc.), was available for question from patrons, kept Gilbert’s safe by notifying public safety of any trouble, closed down the building at the end of the night.  As Head Manager: completed payroll, trained new employees, carried out hiring and termination.
